An agent-based discrete event simulator is used as the core of the Opportunistic Network Environment

The Opportunistic Network Environment simulator (ONE) was designed to provide a more realistic environment for testing Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN) (Ker¨anen, 2008). The simulator has an easily extensible package that combines DTN routing and visualization together with mobility modelling so as to provide a number of useful modules necessary for analyzing and reporting. The ONE simulator’s ability to combine mobility modeling, support DTN routing and provide means for visualizing results and progress has given it an advantage over other DTN
